Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Legendary Pokemon
Our Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Legendaries guide gives you all the information and strategy tips you need to capture all Legendary and Mythical Pokémon in the Sinnoh region.
Tips for catching legendaries in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
- Make sure to save before battling each legendary so that you'll be able to reset if you accidentally KO the legendary or run out of balls to catch it. If you forget to do so, you'll need to defeat the elite four (or rematch them, if you already beat them) before you can encounter the legendary again.
- Lower each legenday's health until it is red and apply a status condition like sleep or paralysis to ensure the highest chance of catching.
- We recommend throwing one Quick Ball at the beginning of each encounter and testing your luck. After that throw Dusk Balls (at night or in caves) or Ultra Balls for the first ten turns. After that, switch to using Timer balls until the legendary is caught. It's best to save your Master Ball for shinies that can flee or self destruct, or one of the roaming legendaries like Mesprit or Cresselia.
- For the romaing legendaries, you'll want to trap them in battle with a move like Mean Look if you aren't using your Master Ball.
