Chapter 17: Fairy Crew Base
North Province (Area Three)
With all eight gyms done and dusted, it's time to turn our attention back towards the other storylines in the game. We've still got two more Team Star Bases to complete and one more Titan Pokémon. We'll start off by taking out the Team Star Fairy Crew Base. It's located in the far nothern part of the map not too far from where we just completed Gladeado Gym. Go ahead and set it as a destination on your map and fly on over to the Glaseado Mountain Pokémon Center.
If you head straight north from this Pokémon Center you can see winding path below. You could head left to find the proper start to this path, but you can also just glide down directly to it. Realistically you could glide directly to the Team Star Base, but there are a number of trainers along this path that might be worth battling if you need to train up. Remeber that the base is Fairy-type, so it would be a good idea to get some Poison or Steel types ready. In the little snowy section northwest of the river you can find some ruins and a copy of TM157 - Overheat as well as a Rare Candy.
Keep following this winding path downward and you'll soon arrive in North Province (Area Three). There is a Pokémon Center nearby that you can heal up at. If you defeat at least 4 trainers in this area, you can get a copy of TM159 - Leaf Storm from the Pokémon League Rep. You'll have to explore the grassy areas around the base to find enough trainers to battle. Heal up once you're ready and head towards the base.
Team Star Fairy Crew Base
Once you get close enough to the base ahead, you'll run into Clive. He'll ask you about Cassiopeia and then run ahead. If you get a little closer to the base you'll come agross a man named Harrington and a Team Star Grunt. You'll have to battle Harrington to get in. He uses a Lv. 48 Morgrem and a Lv. 49 Hattrem. After winning the battle, you'll get a call from Cassiopeia. She'll tell you about the Ruchbah Squad and it's leader Ortega.
Make sure to heal up and choose the three Pokémon you want to bring in by having them at the top of your party. Go ahead and ring the bell when you're ready. Like the previous bases, you'll once again have to defeat 30 of Team Star's Fairy-type Pokémon in 10 minutes via auto-battling. This should be very easy to do at this point, just run around and throw one Pokémon at a group that it has the type advantage over. You can check out the vending machines if you need to heal up during the challenge.
Once you've taken out all thee Team Star Grunts' Pokémon, it's time for your battle with the leader Ortega. You'll have your full party back for this battle. He of course uses Fairy-type Pokémon. He has a Lv. 50 Azumarill, a Lv. 50 Wigglytuff, a Lv. 51 Dachsbun, and a Lv. 50 Fairy-type Revavroom. The Revavroom is known as the Ruchbah Starmobile and has HP far greater than a typical Lv. 50 Pokémon.
After winning the battle, you'll see another flashback to a conversation with the leaders of Team Star. You'll then receive the Fairy Star Badge. Ortega will also give you his favorite TM, TM079 - Dazzling Gleam. Afterward a cutscene will play with Ortega, Harrington, and Clive. It appears that a former leader of Team Star apparently was sent to the Galar region. Afterward, you'll get another call from Cassiopeia who will explain further and give you 10,000 LP. You'll also get a special delivery from Penny who will give you some Pokémon Materials.
With the Ruchbah Squad defeated, there's only one more Team Star Crew to defeat in the game. In the next chapter we'll be doing just that.
