Chapter 3: Volcano

The Volcano

Pokemon Snap Rapidash

Select the newly opened Volcano stage. As you enter, be prepared to photograph the 2 Rapidashes that will emerge and gallop to your left. As you continue on, begin to lure as many Vulpixes as possible together using your Pokemon food. Photograph multiple of them being happy for maximum points.

Pokemon Snap Charmander

You’ll soon run into a Magmar and Charmander on your left. Lure the Magmar and Charmander together using the same Pokemon food, and Magmar will attack the Charmander, causing it to evolve into Charmeleon. This is your best opportunity to snap a picture of Charmeleon evolving, so take advantage of it.

Pokemon Snap Moltres Egg

After this, you will hit an egg. Your first impulse will be to hit it with your Pokemon Food, but stay still for a while and a number of Charmanders will appear to your left. This is an easy opportunity to snap a picture of a bunch of them, so don’t waste it.

Pokemon Snap Charmander Group

After this, hit the egg with your Pokemon Food to make it evolve into Moltres. Snap a picture of Moltres in the air as it turns around for extra points. Then, throw a Pokemon food in between the two Magmars up ahead to make them fight. Photograph them fighting for extra points.

Before the end of the course, hit the Charmeleon into the lava pool to make it evolve into Charizard. Snap a picture of Charizard, and the course will end.

It is worth noting that there are two Pokemon that it is possible to photograph at this point: Goldeen and Magikarp. Both are acquired by throwing Pokemon Food into water.

But, if you’ve followed this walkthrough correctly, Professor Oak will then open up another course for you: the River.
