Our Trial Captains guide for Pokemon Sun and Moon will take the player through each of these challenges. There are 7 Trial Captains across the different islands. You will be given Z-Crystals after defeated each of the Trial Captains Trials.
Pokemon Sun and Moon Trial Captains Guide
Trial Captain Llima
Trial Captain Llima resides on Melemele Island. The player takes on his challenge during the Verdant Cavern portion of the game, where you must defeat several Pokemon in order to progress to the back to fight the Totem Pokemon.
Trial Captain Lana
Trial Captain Lana resides on Akala Island. The player takes on her challenge during the Brooklet Hill portion of the game, where you must defeat the Totem Wishiwashi Pokemon to complete the trial.
Trial Captain Kiawe
Trial Captain Kiawe resides on Akala Island just like Trial Captain Lana. The player takes on his challenge during the Wela Volcano Park portion of the game, where you have to face off against an Alolan Marowak, a Hiker trainer, and finally the Totem Salazzle to complete the trial.
Trial Captain Mallow
Trial Captain Mallow resides on Akala Island just like the previous couple captains. The player takes on her challenge during the Lush Jungle portion of the game. You have to find 4 ingredients before fighting the Totem Lurantis to complete the trial.
Trial Captain Sophocles
Trial Captain Sophocles resides on Ula'ula Island. The player takes on his challenge during the Mount Hokulani portion of the game, where you have to answer questions and battle Pokemon - including the next Totem Pokemon, which is Totem Vikavolt. This trial is completed once you defeat Totem Vikavolt.
Trial Captain Acerola
Trial Captain Acerola resides on Poni Island. The player takes on her challenge during the Thrifty Megamart portion of the game, where you will use the Poke Finder to take pictures of different Pokemon. You will have to battle Totem Mimikyu after the last picture is taken. This trial is completed once you defeat Totem Mimikyu.
